Q: It is reported that the P5 plus one and Iran have agreed to hold a dialogue in Istanbul on April 14. Please confirm. What's China's expectation of this meeting?

A: The P5 plus one and Iran will hold a dialogue in Istanbul, Turkey on April 14. Assistant Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu will lead a delegation to the meeting.

The resumption of dialogue between the P5 plus one and Iran is a hard-won result of joint efforts by all parties concerned. We hope all parties will cherish and seize the opportunity, show flexibility and sincerity in the dialogue and launch a constructive and continuous dialogue process. We urge all parties to keep patient, gradually build up mutual trust and realize the comprehensive, long-term and proper solution to the Iranian nuclear issue through dialogue and negotiation. China is ready to work with other parties concerned to continue to play a constructive role toward this end.
