How to Apply and Visa Fees

1. Please be notice that the Chinese Embassy or Chinese Consulate General only deals with visa applications for which holds consular jurisdiction over the state in which you reside.

2. The Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in Australia do not accept visa applications by ordinary passport holders. Applicants holding ordinary passport are required to submit their visa applications to the Chinese Visa Application Service Centers located at Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Brisbane according to their services areas.  .

3. You may also apply for visa by mail.

1) Please mail your visa application to relevant Chinese Visa Application Service Centres according to Consular Districts mentioned above.

2) Please read Visa Instruction carefully and prepare all required documents.

4) It takes 10 working days to proceed mail applications, please be noticed that rush service is not available for visa applications by mail.

5) Only Express POST and Registered POST from the Australian POST are acceptable. Please write down your tracking number ant track your mail through mail service instead call us to track you application.

6) Please make sure to mail all the following documents: Your original passport, visa application form, relevant specific supporting documents, money order or Bill Payment Authorization Form, a fully-paid self-addressed return envelope.

7) The Chinese Embassy or Consulates General are not liable for any loss or damage and delay by postal service.

4. Applicant may be required to go to the Chinese Embassy or relevant Chinese Consulate General for an interview or verify his or her signature.
