Education Office of Chinese Embassy is the diplomatic agency of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Its functions are to:
- enhance and encourage the Sino-Australia bilateral educational cooperation and exchange, facilitate the governmental education agreement and support non-government programs
- protect the rights and interests of Chinese scholars in Australia, provide services for them
- promote Chinese language teaching and Chinese studies in Australia
- maintain regular contact with the Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs, education institutions, scientific research organizations and other educational organizations in Australia
