The role of Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Australia (following as Economic and Commercial Section) includes: promoting bilateral economic and trading development between China and Australia; keeping contact with Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM) and institutions in charge of foreign economics and trade of Australia; negotiating with Australian departments related on foreign trade and economic issues on behalf of Chinese government; participating in signature of multilateral negotiations and treatments; propagandizing and introducing foreign trade and economic policies of China; providing consultative service on import and export business for business circles from both China and Australia; helping resolving commercial disputes between enterprises from China and Australia; sending propagandistic materials and invitation letters to Australian companies on all kinds of exhibitions and fairs; harmonizing Chinese enterprises to Australia to participate in commercial activities.
