On 7 Aug 2016, at the invitation of Chinese Australian Association in Canberra, DAI Shuangming, Counselor of the embassy conducted a view-exchange on consular affairs with members of associations from local Chinese community at the Canberra Multicultural Centre.
Counselor DAI briefed about the embassy's efforts to boost the people to people exchanges between China and Australia and provide consular assistance to Chinese citizens in Australia, and stressed that Chinese embassy and consulates general in Australia will continue to provide better services to local Chinese community.
Around 90 members from the Chinese associations in Canberra attended the meeting. Many of them raised various passport and visa related questions and got detailed explanations by Mr. Dai on the spot. The audience expressed that this tailored view-exchange meeting is helpful for them to understand better on the Chinese laws and regulations on entry and exit administration, expecting this sort of view-exchange can be held again in the future.
