Chinese Embassy and Consulate-General in Australia Expressed Condolences to Australia on the Recent Shooting Incident in Melbourne

    Mr CAI Wei, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Australia expressed his condolences on 8 June to the officials from North Asia Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade on the recent shooting incident in Melbourne. He pointed out that terrorism is a common enemy of the international community, and China resolutely opposes all forms of terrorism. China is willing to strengthen cooperation with the international community, including Australia, to jointly fight terrorism and safeguard world peace and security. On the same day, the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne also sent condolences to the Victorian government. The Australian side expressed their gratitude.
