Ambassador Cheng Jingye holds a reception for the ANZSOG China Reciprocal Program

On September 7, 2018, China’s Ambassador to Australia, His Excellency Cheng Jingye, held a reception for senior public servants from the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) China Reciprocal Program before their upcoming exchange visit to China. Over 20 senior civil servants from central and local government agencies in Australia and New Zealand and a number of diplomats from the Chinese Embassy attended the reception.

In his speech, highlighting the features of the cities on the group’s itinerary, Ambassador Cheng briefed the guests on the great journey and major achievements of China’s reform and opening up, the significance of the Belt and Road Initiative in creating international business opportunities, and the development strategy and concepts of China in its new era. Ambassador Cheng also shared his views on developing China’s relations with Australia and New Zealand, and answered questions raised by the guests.

The ANZSOG China Reciprocal Program of senior public servants is jointly organised by the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China, the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC (Chinese Academy of Governance) and the ANZSOG. This is the sixth exchange visit, and the delegation will visit Beijing, Shenzhen, Xi’an and Shanghai.
