On June 23, 2011, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai, who is in Hawaii, the United States attending the first China-US Asia-Pacific affairs consultation, met with Governor of Hawaii Abercrombie. Both sides exchanged views on issues concerning the APEC Leaders Meeting in 2011 to be held in Hawaii.
